Making the perfect foundation.. DIY

Hey everyone! So if you didn't already know I am on a spending ban (sigh) and I am on Project Pan ( Where you use up products you don't like or don't use (a Youtube video with the products will be up soon)). So in project pan I put in a foundation that had pretty good coverage but I am way too light for. That was the NYC Skin Matching Foundation BTW... Anyway so I had an idea the other day, which I am quite proud of, So I wanted to show you guys how I made it...
First of all you will need;
  • A foundation that is too dark. (NYC Foundation.
  • A foundation that is too light. (or you can use two foundations you like that both fit your skin type). (Wake Me Up Foundation).
  • A pot, mine is from Primark you can get loads for around £2.
  • Moisturizer, one of quite a thin texture will do. (Garnier lotion)

 So first of all I squeezed some of the NYC foundation into the pot I used quite a bit in the pot. I then squeezed 3 pumps of Wake Me Up foundation and then put a small amount of moisturizer in the pot too!

I then mixed it together using one of those cotton wool bud things, which isn't the best way but it was the first thing that came to my head.

So there you have it! Wake Me Up is a glittery one but makes you look so much more awake and the NYC one has great coverage and is quite matte! Added with the lotion it is really good for winter months!

If you give this a try please tell me or leave a comment or post link so I can see what you used!

  4. I love doing this in the summer when I feel like a full on foundation is just too heavy, but a tinted moisturiser is exactly what I need! Cool post xxx
